It’s the Night of Museums, this May!

On 20th May 2017, the European Night of Museums will celebrate its 13th year. Once more, the capitals museums compete for the attention of visitors. All members of the Burgundy family are eager to attend this anniversary event and have already had a look at the programme.

Roland-Garros: the story of an unmissable tournament

On Monday 22 May, the French Open Tennis Tournament begins on the red clay of the Roland-Garros Stadium. It’s a splendid time of year when the gods and goddesses of the stadium, the snowshoeing giants, the virtuosos of the little yellow ball meet once again. White cap screwed to her head, Victoire Burgundy is ready. And to occupy herself while she waits, she decides to look at the history of the prestigious tournament, its prizes, and its stars.

An Olfactory Adventure - the Grand Musée du Parfum

French perfume is the finest in the world, yet, until recently, perfume did not have its own museum in Paris. The situation was rectified a few months back, last December to be precise, when the Grand Musée du Parfum opened its doors at 73 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The setting -  a splendid mansion that has also housed Louis Roederer Champagne and luxury fashion brand, Christian Lacroix. This prestigious address is just a few minutes’ walk from the Burgundy Paris.

Under the sign of contemporary art

At the end of March, contemporary art is in the spotlight in the capital and Le Burgundy Paris offers an enticing program. Amateur artists and interested guests can visit PAD at the Tuileries from March 22nd to 26th. The event marries art and design and it ably sets the course for the Art Paris Art Fair 2017 which will be held from March 30th to April 2nd at the Grand Palais.

Spring at the Grand Palais

Twilight is getting later and, though the sun’s rays are fleeting, a few buds are pointing tender green shoots towards the sky – spring is arriving! And, of course, that means the spring-summer collections at the Grand Palais. "Gardens" and "Rodin: the centennial exhibition" both open in March. Marie and Carl Burgundy have both taken an active interest in these events and have added them to their agendas.

Le Saut Hermès: strength and style

On the 17th, 18th and 19th of March, the 8th edition of the Saut Hermès, an internationally acclaimed obstacle competition, will take place beneath the magnificent canopy of the Grand Palais nave. It’s a dazzling way to pay tribute to the founder of the famous House and state harness maker and saddler. Why not book at stay at Le Burgundy Paris which is just minutes from the event?

Valentine’s Day at Place Vendôme?

Is Carl Burgundy planning to spend Valentine's Day at Place Vendome? No, of course not. The square is beautiful and it embodies all that’s chic about Paris. However, if Carl was to be spotted browsing the windows, stopping to meditate or wandering from door to door, there could only be one reason for it – LOVE.  His dear Marie is the one that he carries in his heart and he’d love to offer her a magnificent piece such as those made by the exclusive jewellery designers in the Place Vendôme.

Retromobile – the car at the Porte de Versailles

Lovers of vintage cars will know that the Retromobile Show takes place at Paris, Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre from 8th to 12th February 2017. It’s a golden opportunity to (re) discover the Jaguar profile, the classic DS and the mythical Ferrari family. For Carl and Louis Burgundy, the event is already on the agenda!

Be greedy at the Chocolate Fair

This important event is a must for gourmets and it never fails to light up the Parisian autumn. The 22nd edition of Salon du Chocolat will take place, as always, at Porte de Versailles from 28th October to 1st November. And, of course, Louis and Victoire Burgundy can’t wait to sample all the treats that await them at Salon du Chocolat this year.
