With an internationally famous equestrian competition coming up and a recently reopened boutique on the Rue Georges V, the house of Hermès is still firmly in the spotlight! All the while remaining true to the spirit of its creator, Thierry Hermès, manufacturer of horse harnesses.
The 10th Saut Hermès!
The elite international show-jumping competition celebrates its 10th anniversary this spring. The Grand Palais is the magnificent setting and the dates are March 22nd to 24th for this year’s eagerly anticipated Saut Hermès. Launched by Hermès in tribute to its founder’s first business, the competition brings together the best riders from around the world for this CSI five star-rated series of challenging equestrian events combining sporting excellence with elegance.
42, Avenue Georges V
Closed for two years for renovations, the Hermès boutique on the Avenue Georges V reopened last November. With mahogany, red marble and gold lettering distinguishing the exterior and ebony, grey-blue marble and ornate fireplaces working their magic inside, the store makes the most of its very Haussmannian spaces on 3 floors in the heart of the ‘golden triangle’ of fashion and luxury. The store boasts 555m2 of clothing and bags, but also jewellery, tableware, silk, watches, travel goods and more. The requirement is that each of its stores presents the 16 families of products of the Hermes brand. What a great way to herald the arrival of spring!
